On the plight of the ex-patriate Pakistanis who can not pursue their legal maters in their house land. Hon’ble Chief Justice has established a Wing in Human Rights Cell of Supreme Court of Pakistan.
Hon’ble Chief Justice has taken notice of the facts that it is difficult for Pakistanis abroad to look after/safe guard their rights and interests in Pakistan . Ranging from their rights to vote to being defrauded by land grabbers and even by their own relatives and attorneys in property matters; they can not properly pursue the legal matter from abroad.
In this regard Hon’ble Chief Justice of Pakistan has established a Wing in Human Rights Cell. The Wing will receive the complaints of ex-patriate Pakistanis through post and even e-mail or fax and process the same within 24 hours. Every application will be placed before Hon’ble Chief Justice for orders/directions. The Wing headed by a Director shall be supervised by Director General, Human Rights Cell and looked after by Hon’ble Chief Justice of Pakistan, himself.
Wing shall also entertain the applications pertaining to difficulties that Pakistanis settled abroad face on visiting their country. Grievances of the applicant ex-patriates will be redressed by giving appropriate directions to departments concerned and calling the follow up reports. Directions would also be given for required policy and even legislation.
