The Hon’ble Chief Justice of Pakistan Mr. Nasir-ul-Mulk took Notice on press clipping of daily Jang dated 09.04.2015 containing the column (“SINDH KI KHAWATEEN SY INSAAF – QOOMI TARJEH NAHI”) wherein it was stated that few weeks ago a lady Allah Wadhaye and her 12 years old daughter Sheema Solangi were gang raped and later they both were set on fire at Ghotki. Sheema Solangi died, whereas Allah Wadhaye received serious burn injuries. The accused are still at large.
 
In the Column another incident was also mentioned wherein a newly married woman namely Tahir Khoso was murdered in District Jacobabad by her husband by so called honour killing. Accused husband of deceased Tahir Khoso has allegedly been provided shelter by political Leader in Balochistan.
 
Taking the cognizance of the issue, the Hon’ble Chief Justice of Pakistan directed that :-
 
            “Report be called from SSPs concerned through IGP Sindh within three days as well as report be also called from Chairperson National Commission on the status of women regarding status of women and the specific incidents highlighted in the news clipping as well as to provide statistical data of such like cases in Pakistan and measures taken so far in this regard within 3 days.”
 
After going through the reports submitted by IGP Sindh and Chairperson, National Commission on the status of women, the Hon’ble Chief Justice of Pakistan passed the following order:-
 
            “HRC be fixed in Court in 2nd week of May 2015 with notice initially to AG Sindh, IGP Sindh and Chairperson, National Commission on the status of women.”
